Homestake is a scheme set up by Communities Scotland to help low income people get a foot on the property ladder. Like shared ownership, this works by allowing you to purchase a percentage of the property while a registered Homestake social landlord buys the remainder. When you can afford to, you can buy back the rest of the house at a later date.
