How does Homestake work?
Homestake is a scheme set up by to help low earners in Scotland get a foot on the property ladder. It works in a similar way to shared ownership deals, helping you buy a property by giving a percentage of the equity to a registered social landlord. Homestake then allows you to buy back the rest of the property when you can afford it. Homestake rates are very reasonable, helping you purchase your first home.

You need to live in a particular area for a special reason
