Part and part mortgages are a combination of both interest only and repayment (capital and interest) mortgages. You can choose what percentage of each type you want to pay – for example 70% repayment and 30% interest-only. The benefit of this type of deal is that you can reduce your repayments to suit your circumstances, but still pay off some of the capital each month.
Is a part and part deal right for you?
If you take out an interest only mortgage you run the risk of not making enough to pay off the loan at the end of the term.
